I tend to stay away from the swing critiques. I leave it for the guys like TMO, because I don't know anymore than anyone else, but here goes.

I went out today to the range, and noticed both your points, even before i read your post. I fixed it, and it seems like i got more depth in my shots. In addition, i think i was more consistant today with those 2 factors fixed.

I'd say you are off to a great start.....congrats are in order.

thanks man.

I tried to not stand over the ball too long today, and it sometimes worked but sometimes doesn't. when i stood over the ball today, i thought of these 3 points: 1. Keep my head still 2. Transfer my weight from the back foot to the big toe on my front foot. 3. hold the follow through to test balance it seems like standing over the ball for a little while thinking of these points helped me today.
Wow, nice setup. Especailly for a beginner, you look great at address. Good posture.

Im trying to get a constant setup, making sure that i am in the same position everytime. Any tips for this?

Take your time and approach each shot with the same routine. One trick I have learned has helped a bit with consistancy in my setup...

I approach the shot from behind, visualizing the shot before appoaching the ball. Holding the club with my right hand, I step in with my right foot first. The trick is to balance for a second on your right leg, with your club addressing the ball... what you'll find is that you can't really hold your balance on one foot if you are too far/close to the ball. So step in right foot first, and make sure you can balance in that position before completing your stance. You'll be able to feel if you are too upright, hunched over, too far away, etc. in your setup, and hopefully you can use this to stay consistent. Like I said before, you're of to a good start.
