I've got a swing speed that, depending on which launch monitor bay I've been in at different stores, ranges 90-96 in one of them and in the other it was in the 87-93 range.

Right now, I have a Tour Burner in 9.5*. After talking to my instructor and reading things on here, I think a 10.5* or 11* is better suited for my game.

My instructor suggested that the Adams Speedline and the G10 are two good offerings at the moment. I've also heard/read some good things about the Cobra S9-1s.

I've hit all of these at one point or another, and I've also hit other drivers, both "regular" and square head models.

So, I was hoping that anyone who has gamed either of the three above might weigh in with their experience(s).

Also, once "concern" I have with the Speedline is that in the 2-3 Golfsmiths in my area, I've seen quite a lot of them in the used bin, so I'm wondering if it is not as good as some of the others.

Also, with the Cobra S9-1, I'm trying to figure out whether the M or the F would be the best option.

The Player Profile for the F is:

AVG DRIVE:
220-275 YARDS

SWING SPEED:
87-108 MPH

BALL SPEED:
125-155 MPH

The Player Profile for the M is:

AVG DRIVE:
250 YARDS OR LESS

SWING SPEED:
97 MPH OR LESS

BALL SPEED:
140 MPH OR LESS

My swing speed and my ball speed could arguably fit into either of them, and my drive distance could fit in the very bottom end of the F range when I hit my best drives. My other concern is that according to the Cobra site, the M has a 50 gram shaft, which seems like it might be too light (even the F has a 55 gram shaft).

Any thoughts on the Cobra "issue" and anything else would be great.

Thanks in advance

Do you remember what your launch angle was? Given your swing speed, a 10.5* probably will be more beneficial.

I believe that my launch angle for the most part has been between 18* and 28* (generally in the low to mid 20s though I believe). However, I cannot remember for certain.

I think a 10.5* is probably the way to go, and I'm guessing that regular flex will also be fine. Just wondering what people's thoughts are with respect to the various drivers I mentioned. Also, I'm not sure if the 50g shaft in the S9-1 M would be too light. . .

I can say without reservation that the G10 is an absolutely solid driver. You'll love the distance and it is very forgiving.

I ordered on last year and started off loving it. As I got back into golf (5 year layoff) my swingspeed started returning to normal and I began to hit balooning shots with the V2 high launch shaft.

I should have kept the driver and reshafted it....but it sold for a great price and I let it go for a little stiffer shafted driver.

The G10 is selling for $50 less now that the G15 is hitting the market.

It is a true hammer that will give you some great service.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
