well i figured I would post this here, as it was a pretty good tourney
my good friend and Real Estate Agent and his firm put on a Texas scramble each year to raise money for Camp Easter Seals
usually a good turnout and a bunch of $$ raised for a good cause
normally a bunch or agents and their Mortgage Brokers (me) get together and try to score the lowest
it was sunny (+24º or so) slight wind and blue skies

Our Team:
*consisted of 4 dudes from a 6-26 hcp, ages from 27-56, so we had some variety
*one guy "the senior citizen" hahah, was a member of the course we were playing

Highlight # 1:
*my driving WAS incredible - i hit 14/14 fw yesterday
*I have been struggling off the T all year and it came together yesterday
*the ball did what i told it to all day - fade right, draw left, low burner into the wind, it didnt matter it happened
*the guys behind us (as it was backed up), asked if i ever got tired of hitting fairways all day - hahah! i replied NEVER!! haha!

Highlight # 2:
*we hit 18 GIR...the downside - the flatstick
*we could not putt to save our lives
*its not like we were leaving them 3 ft past the hole, but we had 4, YES 4 holes where the ball went in the front door, lipped around and came back to us out the front again - incredible

Highlight # 3: the Long Drive Hole
*the dude that won this hit the ball 347yds.....umm...ok
*we had 2 GPS units w us and i came unscrewed on my drive and blasted it 310yds - now not saying in am the longest hitter there, but i saw the guy that hit this ball "347"...i have a hard time believing it - he was also hammered out of his mind

Highlight # 4:
*we shot a respectfull and TRUTHFULL -4
*of course the guys that won, were the drunkest and shot -11....umm...ok, buts its whataver

Highlight # 5: Money Raised
*we ended up raising over $12,500 for Camp Easter Seals and the firm that put this on, matched it, so $25,000 raised in just over 6 hours of golf, few drinks and a great time.

i usually dont enjoy theses types of tourneys, as stated above: the long drive and guys that won
but this one was really a great time

i almost wanted to carry on another 9 as i was playing outstanding
out of the -4 we ended up, we used my drive, approach shot and my putt to win those holes - i was on FIRE!!!
i have been through some equipment changes all year, now everything is coming together
i think i would have shot par or better today, i just couldnt miss anything
only 2 small mistakes all day - one shot thin and one a little chunky but stil very playable

Anyways, that was my day yesterday
Now i have 12 missed called, 6 voice mails, 28 emails and 8 text messages to attend to...uugg....!! hahaha!!!!
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

    • First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf. Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.
    • Scrubs is coming back to ABC. February 25.
    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
    • Day 151 1-11 flow work today. I've been doing all pause work, so Inwanted to get some rhythm going. Recorded.
