Do you take measures to protect your clubs when having them worked on?

I'll be taking my new (couple months old) 909D3 in next week to have a new shaft put in it.

I am super obsessive about keeping my clubs (especially driver and putter) free from blemishes like scratches, dents, etc.

When you take your driver in for some work, do you do anything to protect the head as much as possible so it's not scratched accidentally while the work is done? I think I'd be pissed to get the driver back and see a scratch on the crown or something. That kind of thing just bugs me to death to look at it every time at address.

If you are trusting someone enough to put shafts in, then I would not worry about the scratches. I just don't let anyone put a shaft into a club. I am more concerned about that being done right than I am about a scratch, anyway. Even if it does get scratched, there are paint markers that will make it look good as new. Irons are less troublesome because they get dinged all the time anyway.

My swing thoughts:

- Negative thinking hurts more than negative swinging.
- I let my swing balance me.
- Full extension back and through to the target. - I swing under not around my body. - My club must not twist in my swing. - Keep a soft left knee

Yeah I'm not worried about my irons at all as they are dinged from bag chatter anyway. The guy installing the shaft knows his stuff and is one of the best club builders around, so I do trust him. He's altered my Cameron for me a few times since I got it. I just know that accidents happen too.
