I am having trouble in the sand. I keep hitting it thin and it flies out of the bunker 100mph. I have to keep the ball in front of my stance, open up the stance and the wedge. Should I take a steeper swing? Please give me some advice thank you

Are you keeping your shoulders aligned with your feet? I recently went through a spell of this and I was taking an open stance and then unconciously closing my shoulders.

A very simple technique is to slightly open your stance, very slightly open the clubface, pick a spot in the sand about 1.5 inches behind the ball, take a nice 3/4 swing and hit that spot with a nice smooth 3/4 follow through. Do not try and help it out or flip it in any fashion. Just hit a few like that and soon you will see that every one comes out consistently close to the same way. You can then work on distance control by varying where you hit the sand and how hard you swing. There are so few shots that require you to really open the face or change your angle of attack. For the basic shot try my technique and see how you do.

Keep most of your weight on your left side. And yes, take a slightly steeper swing.
