So without my knowledge ive switched from a 2 plane swing to a 1 plane swing. TMO did an analysis of my swing and gave suggestions of what I should do.

Golf tec gave me similar advice...

After practicing for hours (range, living room, mirrors) my back is SORE every morning. Its my lower back...

Just wondering if I should go back to my 2 plane swing because I never had pain after swinging a club before....

My 2 plane swing is over the top and my 1 plane swing causes me to hit way too many fat shots, I dont know what gives but Im at the point where Im getting sick of it.....

What'ya guys think?

Jim

As far as I was aware, the one plane swing supposedly decreases the chance of back problems, so its more likely the amount of time you've spent practicing. Take a day off.

Wow, thats exactly what I wanted to hear man! Thanks a lot, I like the one plane swing, its a whole lot simpler to me, just dont wanna kill my back....

Im glad the one planer is easier on the back, going out of town for a week tomorrow, so I'll take some time off for sure... Thanks a lot! Jim

i disagree. i don't think the change in swing is causing your back pain. it's your ability to execute the swing correctly. lower back pain is generally caused by the back compensating for other parts of your body. i suppose you can consider it feedback.

btw, i've needed to take the last week off from golf because of a back ache. sucks cuz chicago is having the best week of weather all year.

This happens when you are tensing up when you practicing your swing. If you are doing mirror work, try not to force or tense a swing to hold a position. It should be nice and fluid.

A good exercise is at address tense your muscle as hard as you can, then relax it. That why you can feel the different between loose swing and tensed swing.
