HOLY... I've been sitting here saying the FT-i was $499 at release just assuming. $625??? LMAO! I just dont see normal sporting goods or anything else for that matter being this overpriced. No need to keep the argument going. I just found this on accident and had to post it. Crazy.

I say get the shag bag of recycled balls from Walmart or wherever. You will lose them all.

this is just what I was thinking. Spent last week in Denmark on holiday and had an afternoon on a 9 hole course there which was practically deserted. We came back with about as many balls in the bag as we left with -- many different ones, though! Have started golf a month ago. Been to the driving range a few times. Had 3 lessons with a pro -- each time 1 hour together with my girlfriend. The lessons were absolutely invaluable. We have one more lined up currently and then want to see how to proceed best. Paid 50 Euros for the hour (Germany). Got so hooked that I got myself a set of MX-950s at a very good price from a retailer in Britain. Have a Wilson Staff putter borrowed of a colleague. That's it. For what I am likely to be playing for the next year, this should suit me fine. They have a nice 9 hole par 3 course where I go and they let everyone onto that one, even beginners. I hope I will stick with the sport. Even time on the driving range can be very relaxing and kind of fulfilling -- hitting the ball nice and straight feels good...

    • I will most likely buy the TSR1 klineka mentioned, though they didn't respond when I asked the seller if they had the +6 weight. They only said the weight was the standard 9g. I contacted a couple of local pro shops, one said they would call Titleist on Tuesday (as Monday is a holiday) for me to order a +6 weight, but the one said Titleist wouldn't have it anymore since it's an older model. Anyway, I will probably buy an aftermarket weight from eBay. Any concerns around aftermarket weight on eBay? They are not cheap, like around $15.
    • I am a big fan of the Hack it Out podcast and love the Saturday Stats with Lou Stagner. Really interesting hearing about Lou’s Gears work with Erik and Golf Evolution. Really interested in the next podcast where they will discuss the learnings!
