I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Watch any professional golfer and observe their shirt. Do you notice that on their left side the shirt is stretched and tight in their back swing? The muscles back there are as well.

Watch ANY professional golfer? Ok.. snead, grant waite, mac ogrady, brian gay,... these are the best ball strikers in the game and there is not alot of tension on the lead side of their body because the left shoulder is getting closer to the left hip. Its not stretching. The stretch comes with the right side because in order to get the shoulders 90* to the spine, the right shoulder has to move UP I could watch some guys who are about 150 in greens in reg and maybe 130 in fairways in reg and I could see some poorly executed pivots with too much weight on their back foot trying to save their swing with their hands. I could watch their next shot from the rough. If you want to use Tiger as an example of a pure ball striker, you're clueless. I have seen the left side of his shirt stretch. For one, he wears a size too small to show off his muscles, and second, he doesn't exactly hit it straight most of the time. BTW, as a former surgeon who has a few dozen lumbar operations under his belt, I think you're out of your element.

This is hilarious, actually.

So, Tiger is apparently a poor ball striker and wears shirts that are too small for vanity reasons? Guys, please understand that are lil' buddy here has a keener understanding of the golf swing and ball striking than Tiger Woods. And don't bother reading Ben Hogans book where he illustrates this point with words and imagery to stress the point. Or don't bother swinging a club competently or watching any decent golfers swing and observing their shirt. And don't bother consulting with PGA Professionals who might know something about a swing. I'm still waiting for this apparent pain I've never gotten. In fact, my swing makes my back feel better than anything else. Go figure! And you're apparently a "former" surgeon who apparently understands the elements of a golf swing from dissecting humans? I see why you're a "former" surgeon since the area I described has nothing to do with the Lumbar region of the back. Good job, Ace!

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.
    • Day 123 12-13 Rotation and getting to lead side work. Recorded face on. Hit a few foam balls but did plenty of rehearsals today.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
