Hello - I've been playing golf on and off for about 5-7 years. For a while, I would only play local scrambles (when I was living in MA) and was chosen solely for my distance (I wasn't sure where the ball would end up). It wasn't until about 2 years ago, after a 2 year layoff that I actually started playing for myself. I usually practice on exec courses and have played full-length 18's about 8-10 times. My most recent score was an 81 - if it weren't for a wicked hook into a hazard on the 18th, giving me a double bogey!! I may have been a little to conceited, hoping for a 79...

I'd like to start looking into playing tournaments over the next couple of years. I'm curious to read about ways different folks approach situations/shots and also to gain more general knowledge about the game.

welcome! play more now that its cooled down a little. I have no idea how you can play in those summer conditions.
