thought you were kidding. I really like his character. I haven't seen him smash clubs, curse, and act childish (like another golfer you mentioned). He doesn't cheesy grin his way around the course either (like the other golfer you mentioned).

Seems to be a real class act. I'm sure he'll win majors and have a great career. Looking forward to see him in th President's cup.

Yeah, I really didn't want to see Kenny Perry playing in the final group with Tiger. I really like Kenny and it's gonna be tough on him. It would have been cool to have Ohair and Perry in the final pairing.

I don't like him. He's one of those super boring players without a personality.

Golf is a game in which the ball always lies poorly and the player always lies well.

He's focused. He's at work, working for millions of dollars. He used to have a personality - his father beat it out of him.

Not sure why you say "gonna be tough" - Kenny seems to be playing confidently and can handle himself out there I would say. Must admit I've warmed to the fellow after beating up on him so badly after that unfortunate grass-tamping incident - best forgotten now. Kenny's a trooper, a tough competitor in close and he's nothing if not eccentric with his style of play. It's all good for the game, the variety I mean. Same goes for Furyk. As for O'Hair: seems like a decent guy. If he's hot he will deserve to take it, just like anyone else.

He's just a good ol country boy who likes muscle cars and drag racing. Granted he's no Paul "Mr. Personality" Goydos, but he's OK in my book.

I say "be tough on him" meaning that Tigers gallery seems to be tough on most players especially if they're not used to playing in the final group with him on sunday

Kenny's record paired with Tiger isn't good. He's never had a lower score when paired with him, and their average when paired is something like TW 68.75 and KP 75.00. Of course, there has to be a first time, and if you like Kenny Perry, you want that day to be today.

Ouch.

O well, maybe this'll be the first time for him. Anyway he's played great to get to this position and has a lot of confidence - time to show he can go the last mile. Tiger is beatable ..... IMO Phil would be more likely to pull it off in that position. Either that or shoot a 75.

Later: just watched Phil hit a sweet bunker shot to close from maybe 40ft. The guy looks to be in the zone.

Don't get overconfident and blow it Phil .......

Ouch.

Lefty does seem to be in the zone and he's putting his arse off.

i guess u must be a big fan of boo weekly, more entertaining personality.

and i do like sean o hair, great golf swing, solid player.

I think o'hair has a great golf swing but I hate to watch him play. He takes the Jim Furyk lining up my putt to the extreme. It takes him 3 tries to get the line on his ball perfect. He may be the slowest player out there today. I wish the Royal and Ancient or the USGA or the PGA would stop the "lining up a putt with a line on the ball". It really adds to the pace of play. (I'm sure alot of people don't agree with me...those of you who do it). Plus it carries over to alot of younger players. Recently I watched some of our local highschool golf match. It took 4 players approx. 5 minutes to hit a tee shot on a 145 yard par 3. I blame the tour players...(ie Tiger and Mr. O'hair).....wish they could take a lesson from this past years Masters champ and hit the damn ball!!!!

Had to chime in on this one. O'hair has my favorite swing in professional golf. Just a joy to watch IMO. He is also probably my favorite player overall (that and my admiration of his swing having nothing to do with each other). I really like his workman-like approach.

i cant believe people are taking my thread title seriously, i only put it because i wanted to see phil and tiger play together

One of my friends bugs me about doing this, but I figure hitting on the wrong line and then needing another putt that might not be a tap-in probably takes at least as long. Plus I typically get the line right the first time! And, of course, he takes forever finding his shots after hitting them (I think he's hit maybe 5 fairways in as many rounds with me), so he's eager to go lose another drive on the next tee anyway.

However, your comments about Sean's pace of play are right on. But, like the OP, I don't hate him, but I did want to see Tiger + Phil paired again. But the Tiger effect on Kenny Perry was fun to watch.

Well, he is very cute and has major daddy issues which means ofcourse that there would be many women attracted to him. I can't stand Stricker, that guy picks me.

    • I assume you are posting 15 or 16 holes and letting the USGA algorithm insert projected scores for the missing holes. How is that going? Are the projected scores reasonable? I have yet to do this.
    • You're right. I haven't really had an issue with this before, but it's definitely worth closing the legs a bit to see what happens. I've had 2 of these and never had this problem before. About 5 years of use between the 2. It's really odd. Yeah, I've always had a bit of inconsistency and misreads, but this is a new level. I did a baseline session last night, and all my of stack speeds had decreased by roughly 5-10 mph (with me throwing out the obvious garbage readings). Weirdly, the driver speed actually seemed to be right where I expected it. I guess maybe it's having trouble with the smaller head of the stack vs. a driver? Whatever it is, I think it's time for me to go with the stack radar.
    • @DeadManI used to use the Swing Speed radar and, in hindsight, it seems very unreliable.  As @iacassaid, it's prone to misplacement, and I'd sometimes get wildly different speeds from swing-to-swing: like a 103mph, followed by 118mph, then a 102mph, then a 114mph.  I didn't know any better at the time and thought that was normal.  I've since upgraded radars and the new speeds seem much more accurate/consistent. Also, Mike Carroll (FFG) used to have the SSR and he now calls it a 'random number generator'.
    • I have it. Works good. As all things electronics, there are analog elements that can 'weaken' like the microwave signal emitting/receiving or the contact between it and conversion module, etc. Might be time for a new one.     P.S. I've had it for a few years. Other than replacing the battery haven't had any periods of wild reads.
