O.K. I may have been a little excited about getting a new set of 09 Burner irons for my birthday. First set of irons I've ever had fitted. And, maybe I was a little excited about getting away for a four day weekend but what I was really excited about was going to a strange course and shooting my personal best since starting back into the game last summer.

Ever so cool

Congrats! I would be super stoked as well!

I just got my clubs back yesterday from a fitting and can't wait to try em. They were just lengthened 1/2" or so, but I'm amazed at how mch of a difference that made to my posture(not slumped over anymore).

I've heard the hybrids are good but haven't hit them yet. I'm assuming that you recommend them.

yeperdoodle!
One of the things I really like about then is the sound they make on a well struck shot; everyone who hears it KNOWS it was well hit.

So cool, it reminds me of the original Ginty with it's pronounced keel. I bet it will go through the rough like... butter. My old ginty was a 5w shaft with a 7w loft and hit the ball every time.

Great Results, Duffy!!!!!!

Interested to hear your results with the new Raylor. That is a useful looking stick.

I assume it's a 3 iron replacement????

Looks like it'd cut through the rough fairly well...better than any long iron.

75....that is awesome. I wouldn't know how to act.

Hi Guys,

The new Raylor is amazing. I found myself in fairly deep rough twice yesterday. Once from about 150 out the other about 180. Both shots found there way to the green. The 150 shot was amazing to me because I had found myself under a row of trees that lead all the way to the green so I put the ball back in my stance and hit it low. A true find here, I'd recommend the Raylor to any one the may once or twice in there life find themselves not exactly in the middle of the fairway. Great Club

    • Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year
    • I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!
    • I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
