Interesting video but I'll stick with my traditional blades, at least for now anyway. Sure the new "players' irons" are great but they're not for everybody.

I honestly don't understand why GD pushes so hard to get people into less of a traditional iron (or hybrid). They have, maybe, one issue a year that even suggests that something other than a GI, SGI or hybrid might exist. I have yet to fully read that article but even there, they put all their focus on "players' irons" and really push the reader in that direction and away from the more traditional musclebacks. This video was nothing more than regurgitation of the same concepts. "More than 75% of tour players...so why aren't you?" Oh, give me a break! Is that number even accurate? I doubt it. My guess is that the guy who carries 3-PW in a traditional muscleback and a "players" 2-iron is lumped into that 75% who carries "players" or even a CB irons.

Play what you like and like what you play. At the end of the day you're the one that has to live with the number on the scorecard.

the video is in interesting but like rebby said you should play the club you want whether that's a blade or a forged cavity back. after all you're the one hitting the shots and it's your choice wheher to play a muscleback or a cb

Couldn't agree more with the above 2 posts.

Geez, people always trying to convince me to play player's cavities. I rarely miss an iron shot, why should I switch?

I love my players irons with a small cavity... but I am a big proponent of playing what YOU like best. I have no problem taking money from people playing blades or losing money to people playing 7 hybrids... different tools for different people.
