During a quick Google search of "swing plane," I was amazed at how many tips and aids there are for helping one get it right. I have found a large mirror to be absolutely the best aid for perfecting my swing plane. Unlike videotaping oneself, the mirror can easily be used over and over and over again. Unfortunately, most of us don't have a big mirror handy. My substitute? At night, with a light to my left (at address) and the large glass door of the family room to my right, I have the equivalent of a very large mirror.

Now go to this website and see the stick figure drawing:

Practice your backswing with the "mirror" until you can achieve the feel of the correct position with all your clubs.

Having a correct swing plane will do wonders for your game.

I actually bring a mirror to the range.

The mirror is 12” by 18” and it’s mounted on a collapsible PVC frame.
