I hit both models (as well as the MP67 and MP62) when I bought my irons about a year ago. All the clubs I hit had the same shaft (DG S300), so the only difference was the head. When I hit them all back-to-back, I noticed a significant difference in forgiveness between the MP67 and the rest and a slight-but-noticable difference between the MP62 and the MP57/MP52. The only real difference I saw between the MP52 and the MP57 was that I hit the MP52 noticably higher than the MP57. Both seemed very similar in forgiveness and in workability. To tell you the truth, you couldn't go wrong with either set. Seeing as the MP58 just came out to replace the MP57, I'm willing to bet you could make a great deal on a set of MP57's right now.

I've recently hit the 52s, 58s, and 62s. I'd agree with msd3075 - 52s definitely take a higher ball flight. 52s, in my opinion, have more of a game improvement feel to them. As a consequence, I did feel as though they were more difficult to work relative to the 58 and 62s. Miss-hits on the 58s aren't penalized as much as with the 62s, but the 62s offer a sweeter "feel" when struck properly.

Absolutely not. They are almost identically easy to hit.

The dual cavity on MP52s is more pronounced than MP57 cavity in longer irons. MP52s have same offset as MP60s. MP57 have a single cavity/more offset.

For me, the MP52 have a higher trajectory with DGS300s than the MP57s with DGS300s. I have a mixed set with MP52/MP60s. I like having same offset.

Which one is more forgiving between the two? Depends on how you like your offset and trajectory. I don't think there's that much difference; just different reasons why these two sets are more forgiving than some other clubs.

I tested MP52 and MX300 against my current MP57 at the Mizuno National fitting centre in UK.

MP52 launches a couple of degrees higher, probably due to the weighting, and hence has a higher trajectory. It was no good for me as I generate a lot of spin, so the ball just climbs high.

The MX300 launches lower (loft is a couple of degrees stronger), so has a lower trajectory than the MP52, which brought my spin way down and improved distance by more than a club.

The feel and playability of all 3 clubs was more or less the same, no significant difference.

I'm now procrastinating whether to stick with my MP57s for a bit longer, jump to MX300 or go back to Ping (I tested the i15s and they are a joy to use).
