Just got my 09 Burner irons along with R9 3 and 5 wood. My question is....should I remove the sticker that has the specs and bar code? I would imagine that this is suppose to come off, but the first one was glued on fairly well. I will wait to hear from you guys before removing another.

they should of done it for you at the store for you with a heat gun and a solvent.. but since they didnt, yes your supposed to. if you get a hair dryer and use that it will make them come off easier

Most people do, but I just leave mine on. If you ever decide to sell your club later on in the future, it will serve as proof that your club isn't fake. It can save you a lot of frustration later on...

EDIT: Oh.. sorry. I thought you were referring to the sticker that has a serial number on it. Like somebody else said, they should have already done that for you at the store.

I take mine off with the same solvent I use to put on grips. Sometimes it takes an application or two of the solvent but it will remove the sticky residue without any damage to graphite shafts.

Peel and follow with goo gone. I admit that I pulled the graphite shaft stickers on my woods immediately, (since the shaft have graphics with info), but have left the steel shaft stickers on the irons as a reminder of the specs of the shafts. I will take them off eventually.

I used mineral spirits on a graphite shaft yesterday to remove one and it worked fine. No damage to the shaft either. The Goo Gone sounds like a good idea though.
