I am trying to pick between 2 bags: Titleist SC85 and the Sun Mountain C-130. Any thoughts or opinions? Thanks!

I love my OGIO edge, The various OGIO organizers are worth studying. I like the WOODE and the UNITER looks good too. TGW has a sale on OGIOS. I ordered a Titleist Premium Stand bag and was so disappointed in it I took it back to TGW and they showed me the OGIO Edge, I am glad they did.

If you've already narrowed it down to those 2, my instincts are to go with the Sun Mountain. I've never read a thread where someone is complaining about the durability of their Sun Mountain bag.

I also like the little feet on the SM. They help it stand up on it's own before you've secured it to the cart.

I think Sun Mountian makes some of the the bags for Titleist (stand bags I know) so you may be looking at the same OEM either way.

The Sun Mountian stuff has the grip on the top which I want on my next bag but I want stand bag. On a cart bag you aren't taking it on and off your shoulder enough to need the top grip but it's still good to have in my opinion.

Just looking at pictures and reading a bit about them on the web I say the Sun Mountian out of those two.

Good luck.
In the bag:
905R 9.5° - UST ProForce V2 65R
909F2 15.5° Titleist Diamana 75
909H 19° Titleist Diamana 80
Zing 2 3-PW Vokey SM48.08 @ 51° Vokey SM56.11 Unitized Leo

Cannot really go wrong with either bag. I would personalyl choose the Titleist

I'm a bit biased (Sun Mountain owner since ~ 1991), but the angle of the top of the bag makes more sense to me - based on visuallizing the retrieval of clubs while the bag is strapped onto a power cart.

Wilson make beautiful bags...

I noticed all the bags above including the OP's two are 14 way full dividers, why? I intentionally avoided the full dividers, why do you like them?

Your sig tells me that is a 100% objective opinion.

Callaway has the best customer service department of any of the OEMs.That is why I use only Cally stuff.I have had problems with several bag companies over the years and Callaway has ALLWAYS stood behind what they sell.OGIO and Taylormade are not very high on customer service Titliest and Wilson have been fine over the years.I have been using Cally everything for the last 5 years because of this.Been playing for 30 years and have moved through 5 or 6 brands of clubs and bags but have settled on Callaway.

I'm not even sure if Sun Mountain has a customer service department (never needed it), but I'm pretty sure they don't make clubs. Most of my clubs are used, but even for the ones I've purchased new, I got them at a golf shop, so I couldn't comment on those OEM customer service departments either.

I have never owned a Sun Mountain cart bag.The Stand bags they make are very good except they seem to not hold all the junk I carry in my bag. They seem hell bent on making the lightest bag out there which I quess is a good thing but like I said I carry most of my basement in my bag.

I have really enjoyed my c-130 these past two months. The layout is super. I was highly impressed with the unreal storage yet very light weight.

It is holding up nicely.

The top handles are super!!! I keep my sticks in the house and the top handles make navigating through the house a breeze. My wife used to get aggitated whenever I'd bump around with my other bags.

Myriad of color optons as well as many NCAA bags available with the C-130.

I have had 2 Ogio stand bags in the past (Edge and Grom), and the legs were not working properly within a few months of buying the bag. My plan is to avoid Ogio bags from now on.

    • Day 44 - Hit some wedges with the intention of working on my 100-yard shot, but instead worked the face a bit. Intentionally trying to hit the toe, heel, and center of the face. I definitely have a heel bias, but focusing on turning my body helped to get things in the center.
    • I think for this, I need to work on my weight transfer. I can feel my self looking up early and falling back slightly. So, I am hitting them a bit fat right now. I need to stay on my left side better or get to my left side better. Kind of like old pattern stuff.  Yep, I was a bit worried about the driver since we didn't get to it. First drive was a push draw because I moved the ball back a bit because there is no range to warm up and I wanted to make sure contact was good. I hit it great, just pushed it slightly. I was like, OK, this will work. I moved the ball back to the normal position and the next 4 out of 5 holes I used a driver was just the ball at most 10 yards off my target line. 😃
    • Sounds good for the full swing stuff!
    • Didn’t score the best, but probably the best I’ve done implementing the swing feels on the course.  Preshot routine - make one practice swing hands down only hitting  the ground like 3 ft behind the ball. Make a 2nd practice swing where I add a bit of turn back in.  Set up and make a swing with those feels. Driver - A stripe show. Just laser beams at my target. Like under 10 yards of curve. Irons - pretty solid. Contact was flush. Just slight pull draws. Just need a bit of face control. It’s close. I had an 8 iron that left the club, didn’t leave the flagstick. The ball probably moved 1 yard in the air. I came up like 4 yards short.  Distance wedges - Needs work.  Short Game - needs work from different lies. Putting - Made almost everything inside of 10 ft.  Going forwards, still going to work on the swing. Backswing length and arms down stuff. I need to work on my distance wedges a lot.
    • Reasonably dry by the afternoon/evening. Some players not seeing many or any mud balls. Maybe they should have hit their tee shots lower. 🙂  Also, for as much as this was supposed to be a bomber's paradise… Luke Donald is T3. He'll turn 48 this year.
