I was just trying out the G15's to see how they are.

I didn't like the drivers.
I hit my king cobra L4V further and straighter than the G15.

I didn't like the fairway woods.
Didn't go as long as my usual 5-wood.

I liked the hybrids.
They went long and straight.

Anybody else try them out?

My Clubs
Driver - LV4 10* R flex
Wood - sam snead persimmon 2 wood (for windy days)
Hybrid burner tour launch 20* stiff flex.

I cannot stand to look at those hybrids, god awful ugly IMO with all that offset. I'm sure they play fine for higher handicappers such as ourselves though.

They work nice BUT my not much further than my regular hybrid.

I don't think there's much of a difference with those G15's

Actually I'm with you...

At of them all I like the Hybrids the best.

BUT I still think (for me anyways) the PING Rapture V2's are better all around

I've been playing the G15 driver for over 2 months now. Best driver I've ever hit. Funny how much tastes vary because I hated the Cobra drivers I tested.

I've yet to try any of the other G15 models.

Nope...

I have tested BOTH the G15's and the Rapture V2's and for ME I liked the Rapture V2's better /shrug

I've hit the G10 and G15 drivers and just didn't click with them, never felt solid to me.

I play a G10 5wd which is the favorite club in my bag. I've hit some G15 Fairway woods and can't wait to get an AXIV Core shafted 14* 3wd as my "short" driver. I've hit every fairway wood available and I think the G10/15 is the most solid feeling, forgiving, and long club out there. I honestly didn't see much difference between the G10 and G15 though, but did like the AXIV shafts.

I've heard good things about this driver and am looking to pick one up. For those who've tried both shaft options (stock Ping TFC or Aldila Serrano), which is the better shaft. My driver swing speed is 100-105mph btw.

I found the Serrano one went better than the normal one.

If you use stiff shafts you'll like it

      I caught a video on this driver; the face tech seems crazy. Looking at the heat map for ball speed, hitting it basically anywhere on the face only loses a few percent ball speed. The surprising and counter intuitive part to me was that for flat faced clubs, ball speed loss is directly proportional to distance loss. For clubs with bulge and roll this is apparently not true. The surprising part of that story being that the max distance potential looks to be a tiny pee sized area for this driver, and I feel in general for drivers. The counter intuitive part being (the myth?) that blade irons have a pee sized sweet spot and missing that tiny spot causes dramatic losses. And that modern drivers, maybe 2017 on, have massive sweet spots and are ultra forgiving. Where in reality, if this heat map data is valid and reliable, it might be a bit of the opposite. This insane tech driver appears to have a pea sized "sweet spot" while Mizuno Pro 241 irons are 28% more forgiving compared to the average of all clubs measured. Not compared to other players irons, compared to all clubs from all categories, players to SGI! The Pro 241 being essentially just a solid chunk of metal with no "tech" at all. Which for me devolves into a whole mess of what is forgiveness really? And in measurable and quantifiable results how many yards, or feet, does that translate into?
