well today at work i smashed my right hand pinky pretty bad, well i didnt think it was so important for my swing, while practicing today right before impact i would unconciously take my pinky off the club and it causes me to not close my face causing fades, and some thin shots.well just had to share my experiance.

Haha, my teacher recommended I start doing some exercises for lower arms strength (for the grip). The grip is dominated by a couple of fingers, pretty sure the pinky includes those. Anyway, without a good grip everything goes to Schnatz haha.

yes, the pinky is very important to your grip and swing, hope it gets better soon.

I had this issue before as well. I ended up taping my pinky to my ring finger with a thin strip of gauze in between. It seemed to work well, but definately slowed down the healing of my finger.
