MacGregor MT Pro DW Wedges: Good club?

I'm having problems with my AW - 11º bounce and very thick sole, not a lot of "clean" hits or feel on shots. Also, I am thinking about adding a LW.

Does anybody play MT Pro DW wedges? I played 1973 MT irons for about 20 years, and MacGregor has produced some good-looking irons of late.

I'm interested in the MT Pro DW 50.06 and 60.08 wedges. Here are my questions:
* How do they play? Looks like a medium-thickness sole, with beveling of sole on toe and heel ends.
* Anything unusual about the onset , curved leading edge?
* How does the Dynamic Golf Wedge Flex shaft perform? Golfsmith rep said it was between an R300 and S300 in flex.
* Does anyone besides Golfsmith handle MacGregor these days, after Golfsmith bought the company? I would like to test-hit the wedges before buying, but the closest Golfsmith is in Chicago.

I'd appreciate any help on this.

I have MacGregor m565 and m455 wedges and love them. Haven't hit the MTs, but I believe Norman used them in the 2008 British Open.

Looks like you can find them band new for <$40 on ebay---which is like stealing for such a beautiful, hand crafted, forged club.

Golfsmith is the only store that I've seen carry them.
MacGregor (in it's original form) will be deeply missed.

I have the 54.10 and 58.10 in gunmetal.

54.10 sole width ~0.88", swing weight D6, total weight ~475 gram.
58.10 sole width ~0.95", swing weight D7, total weight ~455 gram.

They remind me of the MP-R as far as looks, nothing weird, I think they are quite attractive ... well they have those red and black grips but the ferrules are red and black too so I guess that works.

Replacing a BV 254.10 and so far I like the DW 54.10 but haven't really had it long enough to form any concrete playing impression. So far compared to the BV and the 588, I like the DW better because it feels less "klunky" ... FWIW.

Versatile, classic design, fair grooves…not bad for the price. Stock GP grips suck.
