Well, I started the summer by buying a new Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp driver. Didn't like it so got a Ping G5. Liking it still so sent the Launcher for a new Comp NT shaft. Now I bought a used Tour Edge Exotics driver. And then throw in the new set of Ping G5 irons I bought and I'm thinking I might have a problem. NO I DON'T!! I'M HAVING FUN!!!

Buying golf equipment is fun and in some cases it does help your game. I seem to...... can't get enough putters. In three months I've bought two sets of irons, two drivers, a bunch of putters and two golf bags. Also I've purchased numerous utility clubs. I'm into archery too so you can imagine how much dinero I've spent.

Golf is not a game, it's a way of life!

I know archery well. I think I owned over 85 different compound bows during that hobby. I shot competitive archery for 25 years. Won two Wisconsin state championships and tied for it the year I shot pro for Bear Archery. This is back in the 80's (olden days). One winter I did shoot 38 perfect 300 games and averaged 55 x's. Was much better at archery then I am at golf!!

    • It was definitely odd.  The Course Ratings seems to reflect the actual yardages, they're a lot lower than I'd expect based on the "scorecard yardages".  Still, both courses were in good shape, with nice variety of lengths and shapes of holes.  I didn't dislike the pins at Eaglesticks as much as a few guys did, but I play a course with a few challenging (or odd, or even stupid) greens.  I also enjoyed the elevation changes at both.  Even though I know the Appalachians extend into Ohio, I always have an image of a "flat" state, and this was anything but flat.   As always with TST outings, it was great fun, seeing old friends, and making some new ones.
