I am not referring to those who can do this naturally, but to the majority who have a bias to swinging ONE direction.

I was messing around on the range one day during a group class and grabbed a lefty club and after about 20 shots I actually taught myself how to hit lefty. It was interesting going through the whole swing process with a fresh approach, and how quickly I got the ball up in the air knowing that I wasn't grooving any bad habits. I was fairly proud of myself. I must say though, it was pretty funny to me seeing a "slice" go to the left! Next time I am on the course and my ball is on the right side of a tree, I am going to rotate a club 180* in my hands, line up lefty, take a couple practice swings, and go for it!

Anyone else ever mess around with "the other side?"

Yeah, I could hit the ball further left handed (but less consistently) than right handed.

I find I can swing the club faster left handed for some reason

no thank you. I prefer women.

Hah - that was my first thought - sort of.

The unfortunate picture I had in my head was some dude dressed like Paula Creamer carrying a Wilson Hope golf bag teeing it up from the reds. RE: swinging left handed. I do it to warm up, but I'll wait until I'm scratch on my good side before switching to lefty.

Now you have ruined it for me. I'll never be able to look at Paula the same way again. I'm just sayin'...

Golf is the only thing I do right handed. I've tried swinging left handed a few times, but my visuals are still all right handed so it never works very well.

I can putt really well left handed. I haven't tried hitting full shots lefty other than the occasional 'flipping over of a wedge to hit along a fence' type of shot. I have pulled off that shot with great success. But then again, I am not trying to do to much with it. I would guess I wouldn't be a complete failure hitting a full shot, but it wouldn't be pretty.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

I tried once but I was afraid since it was a new set of lefty clubs. People seem to do better with the switch hit thing. I would like to get a used club and try it for at least a hole. I have putted several times left low and I like it but I was more comfortable with the standard right low grip
