Further to seeing a signature of a fellow member I noticed that they used a 'Mr Beasley' Rife Putter. Kym Beasley was a prominent Australian politician who cast a fair sized shadow due to his girth. After looking up the website I noticed that the putter had a decent size to it also.

Can anyone tell me the connection with Oz? It doesn't appear to have an Australian backstory aside from the sponsorship of Ian Baker-Finch.

Email Rife and they will get back to you quick. Nice group of folks. Awesome putters too! My Scotty newport II, Ody 2 Ball, and Bettinardi are destined to closet duty. These Rife putters are the real deal. I like a traditional style, so I got the Antigua, but all Rifes have the patented "roll groove" face technology. Best putter I have ever used.

Thanks Danattherock, will do. Even tempted to try one out given all the good words around the forum!

It is more than hype I assure you. These Rife putters are the bee's knees man. I absolutely love my Rife Antigua. Just got a UST frequency matched shaft and IOMIC midsize grip in the mail for it. I am mailing it out in the morning and a guy (Kevin Colbert of www.putterplating.com ) is putting a high polish on the stainless 304 head, doing red paint fill, engraving a "V" line on the top for alignment, installing the new shaft, and putting the Iomic grip on it. I can't wait to get this baby back. Two weeks is a long time to go without it, but it should be worth it. My dealings with the company have been nothing short of spectacular. Emails answered in hours and such. Just a great group of guys. I prefer the Antigua or Aussie versions, but many folks are gaming the big boys and mallets and loving them. The "roll face" technology is what seperates these putters from others and all Rife's have this roll face groove technology. Puts the prettiest top spin on the ball you could imagine and the result is a ball that tracks just where you putt it. No skidding and bouncing before a true end over end roll is established. This ball leaves the putter face rolling with topspin. The difference it makes is staggering. I make 5 footers now the way I used to look at 3 footers. No BS.

After going through several putters, I landed on the Rife Antigua, and it has absolutely killed the putter ho virus I was dealing with. That thing looks great, and rolls the ball like nobody's business. I can't see anything knocking it out of my bag at all.

A friend just bought a Rife Hybrid 2 Bar Mallet today, and I gave it a try. Very smooth feeling, beautiful roll on the ball and I just loved it. I think I will consider a Rife putter next time I buy a putter.

    • Day 354: shitty, busy week so far. Only had time for a bit mirror work - working on the same things.
    • IDK, a full turn. That is what it's feeling like. When I shallow the club, it ends where It ends. Should I crank the torso more around?  I'll check a face-on to make sure, but it's not like I am trying to make partial backswings.  The day has finally come, when I am getting comments on not making a long enough backswing. 🤣 too much of what?  Here is my typically routine.... 1) I usually start out just doing position work. The backswing stuff we work on. Turn to A2.5-ish, shallow to A4, pause, arms down to A6. Then, slight pump drill and hit the ball.  2) I do some pause at A4 and arms down and try to hit ball from A4 instead of A6.  3) I do some full swing stuff, trying to blend it all together. Checking video to see if I am actually keeping the club shallow or not. If not, then I go back to trying to train the downswing with the stuff we worked on. I try to blend it all together again, and check video.  What am I missing here? I do the stuff we worked on. I'll keep it at, it's all I can do. Just hope it changes.  Sorry for trying to find a feel that keeps the club shallow..
    • Ha ha.... I'm not sure.  I've actually never watched a LIV event. ... but maybe? 👍👍
