WHY... if most PW are 46-48... the gaps would be 2-4* and 8*... that's why I play 52* and 58* with a 46* PW... just doesn't make sense to me to have one huge gap and one tiny one?

Ok so your PW is 45 deg and you already have a 56 degree. I was using Titleist AP1 irons until last week and my PW was also 45 deg. So my wedge set up was 50 bent to 49, 52 bent to 53 and 56 bent to 57 that way keeping the 4 degree gaps and this worked well for me with no gaps from 125-80 yards on a controlled "full" swing.
