So many nice courses up there. I've only played Great Blue at Heron Lakes though, which was FANTASTIC. I'd love to come up and play a late March twilight round at Pumpkin Ridge for $30 this year, cuz I'm cheap like that

I've also heard really good things about Wildwood.

I've played Diamond Woods a lot. That course will hurt you. Although strangely, it was the first place I broke 100.

It's a beautiful walk.

I'm in Portland, OR (SE - Milwaukie, OR area, actually). I play all around the area, I live about a 5 min. drive from East Moreland, pretty good track, but not always in the best shape in the off-season. Stone Creek in Oregon City is a good course, except for a strange little 3-hole stretch on the back-9, blind uphill/downhill tee/approach shots. But, still a favorite of mine. Heron Lakes Great Blue is one of the best courses in the area, plays very tough from the back tees. The Green Back at Heron Lakes is good course for the beginners, also. Langdon Farms is a great newcomer to the area, good layout, good greens, great food in the clubhouse. I also play Glendoveer (East course) alot since it's on my commute route, tough layout and good exercise walking up and down those hills. And don't forget Tri-Mountain a short drive up I-5 in Ridgefield, good layout, good greens. Green Mountain is a pretty fun track and fairly easy to get on in a pinch. Camas Meadows is fun, but over-rated, I'd rather play Heron Lakes, Stone Creek or Langdon any day.

Hit me up if any fellow portlanders want to play sometime.

I got out and played yesterday - the sun was calling here in SW WA / OR. I was over by Camas Meadows and it was only $29 (w/ cart) for 18. I teed off about 1:30pm and finished up around 5:30pm. Shot a lousy 86, of which I usually attribute the soggy conditions (my ball plugged 3 inches deep just off the fairway) and inconsistent winter greens for about +5 shots, so not bad for this time of year. I really don't enjoy Camas Meadows, though...I just don't like the layout. Then to top it off, they are adding a 'lake' in front of the 18th green (already a strange 'par 5'), so they had a flag stuck in the middle of the fairway in front of the lake. It was late, so I just hit a drive and picked up my ball and left. I doubt I'll go back there for another year or two, unless I'm asked to play in a 4-man scramble or something.

Let's definitely keep this thread going and make arrangements to play, hopefully the weather will dry up a bit!
