Old Hickory/Raspberry Falls

I recently moved to the Woodbridge, Virginia area. I am considering membership to Old Hickory which comes with reciprocal membership to Raspberry falls. Looking for some reviews from forum members on these two courses. Thanks.

I played Raspberry Falls about ten years ago. I liked that course. Sort of links style. Well maintained. Zoysia fairways. It was pretty pricey back then. Thumbs up from me.

I have not played either course but will probably try to play them one or two times this year. I doubt if I would ever join a club because I like to play different clubs.

Raspberry Falls is a very nice, links-style course... a little unusal for courses in Northern VA. The pro shop and pros there are friendly and very knowledgeable. I had a custom fitting there last year at ths time and ended up buying customized Titleist AP1s, Vokey wedges and a hybrid from these guys. I do think the practice range needs a makeover... you're hitting uphill the whole time and there's a huge tree right in the middle of the range. But really nice course... hope you enjoy your membership.
