Taylormade Cart Bag: How do you strap onto golf cart?

i just recently changed my golf cart bag from datrek to taylormade. haven't played golf w/ new bag yet due to the weather.

i was wondering how does one strap taylormade golf bag onto golf cart. the bag does not have any handle to put the strap through.

i have a taylormade san marino cart bag. i looked through golfsmith website & noticed all the taylormade cart bag does not have any strap handles.

if anyone have a taylormade golf cart bag, please advise.

thanks in advance.

Unless I'm mistaking something, you just wrap it around the bag where the little handle would be. The bag is still tall enough that it's not like it's going to slide out... the handle is there for carrying, not for strapping onto a cart (though that's a handy secondary benefit).

..."the handle"...?? this is the handle by the shoulder strap you are referring to, right?? if you wrap it around there, wouldn't the bag be facing sideways?

thanks again.

I've never had a bag slip out from not being in the handle. It's always from the strap coming loose. Even the handle doesn't help then. :.)

Ogio has a very cool trick on some of their bags:

Heavy rubber TORQ Strap or "Anti-Twist Cart Strap" helps secure the bag to the cart and will not move during a round of golf. It goes through the basket and hooks back on the bag, you really don't need to strap your bag when you use it. Maybe you can rig something similar on your new bag.

They need to license it to all bag makers.

I have a TaylorMade stand bag and I just strap it to the cart with no problem. I use it on my push cart and works well on electric carts! There's a handle on the top that I put the strap through and it fits nice and snug :)
