If any of you folks out there have tried this, let me know what you think? I bought this program as I had videoed my swing and found that my back swing was ridiculously short (old age stiffness). The problem is that I've been doing the program for about a week now and I'm so sore that my back swing has gotten even worse. Any idea when this is actually going to make me better instead of the opposite?
THanks gang

I am a regular gym rat who uses a professional trainer. My only comment is that exercise, especially stretching, should be done first under the watchful eye of someone trained in exercise science. I thought I was doing some routines correctly, but I was not -- likely doing more harm than good. Now that I do the routines correctly, my back issues are greatly diminished.

Usually before I begin to stretch I get on an eliptical or bike for 5-10 minutes. Its never good to stretch with a cold body. Just like a car you dont want to exert it if it is not warmed up. Also I would start off slow with your stretches. It might not feel like it is doing much but you have to take baby steps. Your body has to get used to turning and bending in those weird positions. Right now I would just rest until you felt better. Then start from scratch slowly working your way up. But a warmup run or bikeride or even fast paced walk is a must.

Thanks guys, Makes perfect sense to me. I'll let my body get back to normal and take it easy. If that doesn't work I'll talk to a trainer.

I could not agree more... The idea to first get your heart rate up a bit before stretching is really important. Great point. Some fast walking or stepping in place should do the trick. I do some inclined plane walking before any difficult stretching.
