Just wondering if anyone knows why there would be about a $500 + difference in price between the Cleveland Launcher irons and the Launcher LP irons?

I really have no idea, the website indicates, "Launcher LP irons feature a lower profile for those golfers who desire more control in their game."

Outside of that they state they're made from the same material so I couldn't imagine they're too much different, although the price difference would indicate otherwise...

Exactly, that is why I was asking. These irons are on my short list once I get my fitting straightened out, but I prefer the look of the Launcher irons to the Launcher LP irons, the red turns me off. I really like the TA6's, too, but they seem to be out of production... I have found them on some websites but I am not sure about getting them custom fit...

I think you can get some really great deals on TA6's currently, I know that they have them at my local shop, Austads for 499.99 and you get a free bag. When it comes to fitting, there's some clubfitters on the board that could speak to this with more knowledge, but I think most shops have the ability to lengthen or shorten shafts, and even bend a club +/- 2 degrees if necessary.

Yes, I think I may go that route, because I can get them at a nice discount, maybe I can get them fitted later... I can get the Launcher LP's for $300...

hey, i just picked up these irons a week ago or so, and they are amazing...they have a thinner sole than the regular launchers, but i found they were both a lot easier to hit than other brands' irons...also, i went to a pro shop and got fitted for my launcher lp's for $340 (4-PW, and i ordered the GW as well)...the regular launchers were $500 for the 4-PW...as for why there is such a big gap, i can't tell you, but i can say that i found little difference between the two...

Thanks, they seem like a good iron for sure, and a great price...

Well, after a lot of thought and questioning I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Launcher LP irons... I was able to get the shaft I wanted, but I had to go with standard length, loft, and lie. I think this is fine because I saved a lot buying them online, and I plan on getting them fit properly once I get them, this is still possible, correct? The length is proper for me anyway, so just a slight change in lie should actually do it, but I am assuming I will be able to take them to a shop and actually use them with the contact tape, etc... to get fit correctly?

    • Mostly pull cuts to slices. Some random pull draw/hooks pending of I hit the toe.
    • What's the rest of that story? Where was the ball going?
    • The criticisms are starting already 🤣 U.S. Open pro criticizes Shinnecock green conditions: 'Bumpy' After playing his first practice round at the 2026 U.S. Open, Michael Kim offered a less-than-glowing review of Shinnecock's "bumpy" greens.   The sand, I don't care about that. If the greens didn't come back as well for latest aerification, that would be a bit of a blunder on Shinnecock I think.
    • Well, if your frame of reference spins twice during the swing, then Bryson's ab/adduction is more like 780 degrees so there! (Yes I'm being silly, but not sure it's any sillier than what your pal Andy is doing...)
    • Update: Brandon Sorsby has decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. He will not play for Texas Tech in the upcoming season.  From my perspective, I think he did the right thing. I hope he gets the correct help for his gambling addiction. I say the right thing, because I would be worried that the stress from all of this now and throughout the entire year would not be beneficial towards his mental health.  If an NFL team picks him up, then there really isn't any pressure for him to play immediately. He can work on himself and his game for the NFL.  From Texas Tech,  "Texas Tech will continue to provide the support and recovery resources Brendan requires on this journey. Furthermore, Texas Tech will not seek return of any amounts already paid to Brendan through his NIL agreements with the University," Campbell wrote. "We wish our best to Brendan, and we offer our prayers to him and his family as he chases his dreams at the next level. This has been an unbelievably painful experience for us all, but I know that his true, underlying character and lessons learned through this experience will ultimately bring him great success on the field of play and in life." Which, I also the right thing to do.
