You know that one shot during your round, no matter how poorly you are playing, that brings you back to play again.

It's ok to brag in this thread.

Mine was a 4 wood that I hooked around a tree fron 235 from the left rough on a dogleg left and put it on front edge. Missed the birdie putt but it was still a pure shot.

What was yours?

I started on the back nine so my finishing hole was the par 5 9th hole dogleg left at about 250 yards out then straight up to the green. Hit my drive in an attempt to cut the corner and put it in the trees along the left side...found the ball laying with a very low pocket between two trees to go to the middle of the fairway. pulled out the 4 iron, closed the face, back of the stance, low BB through the pocket to 100 yards in. pw, putt, birdie, thank you sir may i have another.

Pebble Creek golf club, Tampa, FL....hole #14, Par 4, 284 yards, with a lake between the Tee box and the fairway and a severe dogleg left.

Topped Drive .....15 yards stopping about 3 yards before the lake. Instead of going for the fairway I decided to take a 3 Wood across the lake, skipped once and bounced up on the small peninsula on the other side. 55 yards to the pin, around a stand of cypress trees.....used a gap wedge nailed it pin high just 12 feet from the hole.....made the put for par.

That will always bring me back...

Haven't been able to play since last Thursday because of snow. That day I was playing extra good. As I was chipping onto the par 3 4th a twosome that was teeing off on the par 4 5th told me to play through. They said they would go locate their tee shots and when I was ready I could swing away. I stepped onto the 5th tee and striped one up the middle that landed right between those two guys. My second shot was an 8 iron that hit the green, checked up and stopped about 6 inches from the hole. I casually walked up on the green, tapped it in for birdie, turned back to the two guys and said, "Thanks, guys." I've never seen those guys before so they have no idea what an unusual hole that was for me. If they judge me by that one hole I'm sure they think I'm a whole lot better golfer than I really am. I usually take a 5 or 6 on that hole. BTW: my score for that 9 hole round? 40. I was laying 34 when I teed off on the par 5 9th hole. Put my 3rd shot in the greenside bunker and took two whacks to get it out of there. Wound up with a bogey and a 40 after having shot 44 on the front nine. 84 in Ohio in February is real good shooting for me.

352yd par 4 - 18 at Greer CC. Hit tee shot and blocked it out to right. Caught a pine tree, and drilled it straight back towards me. This left me with a drop (unplayable lie) and about a 205yd. (on the Skycaddie) shot to the green from the rough. Took out the 4h, and ripped one to 8ft. or so of the pin. That one made my day. Could have pared the hole but pleased with a bogey with the drop.

Playing at Scothurt Golf Club in Lumber Bridge, NC. On the 9th hole, a long par 5, my 2nd shot was on the right hand side of the fairway, with some small trees blocking the green from me. I had 2 choices, chip straight out or backwards, leaving me with about 150 yards left and laying 3, or pull out the old pitching wedge and hope that I could clear the trees in front of me. It was kind of iffy whether I could even get up and over them to begin with. I was 2 shots down going into the turn, so I decided this one was going to make or break me. Popped a georgeous high pitching wedge up from 130 out, and landed right on the fringe at the front of the green. Still 2 putted to make par, but that par meant a lot to me on what was otherwise a lousy day up until then.
