First off i loved the look from address, much more traditional than the r9 or the r9 460. Initial launch is a bit higher than the r9 & r9 460, and overall distance was pretty much the same. The club in person looks even better than any pictures i have seen on the net, i just love the black theme. Also, the tees i use almost always leave a white mark on it so i can see where i struck the ball. Seemed to be more forgiving as well, I'm definitely going to game this in 10'.

YES! I hit it a couple days ago! It isn't as triangular looking at address as the R9 and R9 460. I also found the weight distribution was really really good, that is, the shaft and the head felt nicely balanced. It had a really good feel too. I'm not sure if i will end up gaming it, but it's definitely on the list.

In my bag:

Just got it last Thursday with the 9.5 Fubuki 73g in X-Stiff. Love it. Was crushing it. Probably the shaft is of course really good. I gave it to the guy next to me to try out vs. his r9 460, swapped the shafts so he could use his and he was nailing it.

You guys are right. It does have a higher launch. I like it lower and might go down to a 8.5. Then once I do that, the SuperDeep will come out! I hear that is THE CLUB to have...

    • I played in a league in which the rule for lost ball was 1 stroke and you drop anywhere along the line in which the ball traveled (no closer to the hole). This also counted for lost balls OB, in rough or even fairway. I believe the rule was suggested by the course. The league had 60 members and only a 2 hours to get everyone out on the course. So the course itself promotes fast play. I am not even sure that the starter or ranger would let you walk back to the tee!
    • I have a Titleist one that I use with my electric trolley. Fits perfectly on there and I don't care about the weight because I'm not carrying it or pushing it. I have room for everything I could need and when it's hot I have plenty of room for lots of water.
    • Quick question for you. If you had Tiger Woods hit all of your full shots and you just did the chipping, putting and sand shots what do you think your handicap would be?
    • So yesterday I happened to find myself in a Play-It-Again sports and they had that very Cobra Staff Bag for $150.00.  It looked to be in perfect or near-perfect condition. I immediately wondered if the guy I saw using it on Wednesday had hocked it at Play-It-Again. 😁
    • See you Saturday at Reserve Run.  I have to confess, even thought it's a long way out. I'm pretty excited about next year end of April. The tournament I play every year for the better part of 2 decades is moving to Paiute Golf Club in Las Vegas. We'll get to use The Wolf and Sun Mountain courses for our tournament and get to do the Horserace on The Snow Mountain Course. I'm already looking forward to it.
