Hello people,
I have put away my putter for a while and start practicing my iron, why? Because i cant even make some easy shots in the course/driving range... I realized that professional players made a divot in every iron shot, i am confused on that. I have tried to find out the reason why by means of GOOGLE but i could not find a good reason to explain that. Although my irons (MP32) were forgiving irons, i still couldn't get used to it, can somebody tell me how to play forged irons?

I don't really understand the rest of your question, but the reason you see divots taken with irons is that a divot indicates that you've made a descending blow through the golf ball, hitting the turf IN FRONT of the ball. Hitting down through the ball gets the ball airborne with backspin.

This applies to any iron, whether it's forged or cast.

Hello people,

first of all let me just say that mp32's should in no way be considered "forgiving" irons. ive used them and they are not even close to being as forgiving as titleist 690.cb's are.

secondly, some of the "pros" and even a lot of regular golfers dont take divots. many of them sweep the ball off the ground.. its very swing plane related. the direction/width/depth of a divot can tell you a lot about your swing. and yes, dont focus on the "forged" part because they play the same as cast do.
