Hey all, first topic here....
I have a little problem at the moment, I used to play 4 wedges (P, 52, 56, 60) But i was finding a quite a desent gap of distance between my 3 wood and 3 Iron. So i went in and got fitted for a 5 wood. (Im not a big fan of Hybrids) I LOVE the 5 wood, probs my 2nd fav club in the bag.

But now since i took my 52 wedge out of the bag, im having some probs with club selection around the greens, i used to love the 52 wedge, it was always a nice little club to use around green side, not to high, not to much spin just perfect for almost any situation. I have been using my 56 and putting it back in my stance to try and get the same highet as my 52 was comming out, but when i do so the spin is just crazy.

So there is now 3 options here, replace my wedges and get a 53 and 58, Get mine bent, or take out the 3 Iron and put back in the 52. But the problem with taking out the 3 iron, is that i love the nockdown low shot i can hit into the greens on windy days, on the longer holes. And since im a fairly long hitter, i use my 3 Iron alot of the tee.

Any ideas, or advice?

When I had this problem (just with a 2 Hybrid rather than a 5 Wood) I ditched the 56 and got a 54 to fill the gaps. My PW is 47 so from 47 to 54 is 7* and from 54 to 60 is 6*, which are pretty consistent gaps. It doesn't hurt that I got pretty good at hitting soft pitching wedges. I decided to keep the 60 rather than a 58 because I use the 60 for all of my chips and pitches (even out of the sand) and I didn't want to give up my best shot, the high lofted flop shot.

Hope that helps!

try play a few rounds without the 3 wood. Doubt you use it that much.

How much do you use your 60*? I would personally drop that.

60* is very useful for when you need to get the ball to stop fast.

You'd use a 60* more than a 3 wood.
