I followed Verplank/Leonard off and on all 4 days at the Presidents Cup.

Verplank is a grinder in the truest sense. He's not going to blow anyone out, but he never lets up. You know if you get loose on a shot he's probably going to take the hole.

He's not a bulldog... he's a pitbull.

They were the best team at the Presidents Cup, even better than DiMarco?Mickelson. That's why Nicklaus put them against Goosen/Scott who were unstoppable.

Verplank and Leonard were perfect partners for alternate shot. Who do you think TL might pair him with?

Zach Johnson might make a good partner. Not real long, but straight off the tee, and Verplank won't hesitate to coach him along.

I like the Cink pick too.

OK- prediction time.

I'm going to say the U.S. rallies behind Lehman who has been an emotional leader for a while on the PGA Tour, always someone the players look up to and a spiritually charging individual. He led the memorial for Darren Clarke's wife and a few years back Payne Stewart so the players are used to him being in a position like this.

U.S. dominates all the way around, will reclaim the cup.

Does anyone know when the European captain's picks are due?

I believe they make the picks after this week's European tournament, the BMW International or something like that.

Most people think Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood are locks, but I'm not sure about that. I'd be picking Ian Poulter in a heartbeat. Poulter has had a solid year, and he has played well lately.

Man that's a tough call, I think Westwood is a great pick for them. Clarke should be on the team, he deserves to be but will he be ready to play? Will Woosnam pick him for sympathy reasons? I agree though Poulter would be my pick for sure if I had to decide. I don't mind all 3 of them and would like them all to be there, too bad only 2 of them at best will be picked.

    • An you still took several minutes to write several posts and talk to sound engineers. I appreciate that you did!  So they basically tell you is possible but you need to be very restrictive. The same thing I found on my research.  Temperature: is not going to change much between swing A and swing B. Distance of max club head: even the PRGR take the fastest speed recorded, not the speed at the ball. But this could be diminish by swinging several times each swing and average the results.  Angles: also PRGR returns less speed swinging on a certain degree.  Clubface orientation: it is also an issue with launch monitors that are not reading the center of the mass of the club. You can have a lot more club speed if your face rotation is higher and your lunch monitor is reading the toe of the club. "Other stuff in the room": are the same from swing A to B, or you can just swing naked! haha  This is the main idea, I have a PRGR and Skytrak. There are plenty of people, more here in Argentina, that can't afford a launch monitor. Also wanted to share the idea and let it be challenged by others. I don't mind been wrong, is part of experimenting.  I did and all the swings were close to 85 dbs, me swinging at 90 m/h. But I don't mind doing a proper test later in the afternoon writing down the results. I need to find and app that also have frequencies in order to test both.
    • Always kinda looked that way. They're pretty standard length… he's a tall dude though.
    • Now it's not too early.  Strong US start - 5 pairings out now. Is it just me?  or does Tony Finau's clubs look just too short for him?
