I'm an 11 handicap wondering if I should play with blades. I had Mizuno TZoids Pro ll and switched to a blended set of Titleist AP1 and AP2. I just do not like the feel of the AP's so I went back to the TZoids and my iron play is better overall but I do get less out of the Mizunos on toe hits which I do too frequently. I am thinking about a set of MP 33's but want feedback about that club in general and whether it will play similar to the TZoids. Thanks for any help.

I play both the T-Zoids and MP-33s myself. Both are quality sets. MP-33 is a little less forgiving, but the feel is softer. T-Zoids has a thicker top-line at address, which envokes less confidence for me personally. The short irons for the MP-33s are the reason that I stick to MP-33s as the main set. They're just too chucky with the T-Zoids.

If you're hitting it off the toe often, then I wouldn't touch the MP-33s. These are not clubs that have any forgiveness there. In fact, I find the sweetspot on the 33s closer to the heel if anything.

Here's a test, if you're hitting the ball 8+ out of 10 times on the sweetspot, then go for it. You can always adjust for swing path with a set of blades, to control the fades and draws. I think that's the fun part about them.

Driver:  R11S 10.5°, Fairway Woods:  909 F2 15.5°, Hybrid:  G10 21°

Irons:  Tour Preferred MC 4-P, Wedges:  Vokey SM 52.08, 56.10, 60.04

Putter:  Tei3 Newport II / Circa 62 #3, Ball:  Pro V1X / NXT Tour

    • Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.
    • Day 73: just some mirror work today. Working on feels for being open and getting the front shoulder down.
    • I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.
    • Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
