So I am in the market for a 585H but I want a V2 shaft in it. I can get the shaft in 86g and I am wondering if getting the shaft in it will be bad because of the weight. I should let you know that I have a V2 in my 906 and its 81g. I guess my question is do I want my hybrid shaft a hair heavier than my 3 wood?

i recommend going 909...reasonably priced on ebay...and MAN..they are EXPLOSIVE.

I've hit the 909 and it is explosive but I have the 907 and 906 to match the 585 and plus a year older means a little cheaper

My hybrid shaft is 104 grams or so IIRC. So yeah, you want it heavier if you want a similar swingweight. It's a shorter club than your driver or 3W.

Hey thanks Erik. I have a stock 65g shaft in my Cobra and haven't been hitting consistent since I started hitting my 906 w/ the V2 in it. I thought I needed heavier shaft. Now I am in the hunt for a 585 w/V2 and again thanks for answering my question.

      I had a few tweeks in the bag. I took out my Mizuno pro FliHi 3 iron replaced it with a Titleist GT2 7 Wood. what a change that is, so easy to hit, it goes so high without it ballooning on me. I couldn't get rid of my callaway woods ( Rogue ST Max LS ) but changed the shafts to Diamana BB 63 stiff for the driver and 73 stiff for the 3 wood. Than i got myself a new putter Odyssey S2S jailbird yes i joined the centershaft family

      First off all i think you should use the same ball all the time. We all strive for consistency on the course, the only factor you can be sure it will be always the same is your ball if you always use the same. So i think we should always use the same. I recently switched from Titleist Pro V1x to Srixon Z-Star Diamond because it i get a bit softer feel around the greens and same results on driver and irons
