So I was really impressed when I hit Mizunos recently, but ended up going with Nike Forged pro Combo Tours. They look nice and feel pretty good. I have since stumbled across a set of MP 57s that I would rather have and could get them for only $100 more than what I bought the Nike's for. I would say i liked the feel of the 57s better, but I would have to be able to sell what I have. I guess basically i am asking, would you guys go through the hassle of selling the Nike's, to get something you wanted more from the beginning but could not initially afford? If any of you were in a similar situation, let me know what you did. Thanks everyone.

was in the EXACT situation last year
sold the PFC's as I needed new shafts in them and it wasnt cost effective
bought the MP-57's, hated them and wished i never sold the Nike's.....

sold the MP's and bought the CCi Forged instead

night and day

IMO the PFC is a better set for ME...for you....your choice bro

Would you personally recommend the CCis over the PFCs? I was actually looking at them as well because someone offered those to me in the last couple days for the same amount I spent for the PFCs. I hit the CCis once and they did feel good, probably better than what I have now but somewhere inbetween the PFCs and the Mizunos.

Id go with getting the clubs you wanted all along. Ive tried just about every brand of club their is and theres nothing like Mizunos.

I see you have 32s...have you hit 57s? Is there a big difference between the two?

the CCi's are twice the club the PFC's are, but slightly less forgiving

but i also have different shafts as well (see sig) i think Nike Forged irons are so under rated its not even funny (IMO they feel better than any Mizuno)

The 32s are a little more forgiving, not a huge a difference though.

The R9 I won in a raffle and in the case of the Ping its a great putter. Mizuno is coming out with their own line of putters in the near future and its highly likely that a Mizuno putter will replace the Anser. Nice try though...

Personal recommendations among MP 32s, 57s, Titleist 755, AP2, and my Nike's? How would you and anyone else for that matter rank these. i want to go hit them all side by side now that I am finding some better deals. Thanks for the thoughts so far, keep them coming guys.

My choice would be either the MP-32s or 57s. Either would be great irons. I wouldnt have much of a preference between either because they are really similar.

After that my choice would be the AP2s, then the 755s. Id go with the AP2s over the 755s simply because the AP2s are made from carbon steel whereas the 755s are made from stainless steel. Carbon steel is a softer metal and will give you more feel than clubs that are stainless steel. Last would be the Nikes. Ive never been a fan of anything Nike.

just recently i started hitting a little fade so i went to my instructor and he said the shafts on my titleist 755's were not stiff enough. so i bought some used callaways with stiffer shafts and hated, then i brough my old mp 32's out of the closet and reshafted them and was going to play them but didnt like them as much as my 755's as they were about a club shorter and a didnt like the trajectory. I hear everyone say the 755's are too hard of a club because they are forged from stainless, but if you are a good ball striker they both fell great. there is definately a difference between the two and different does not mean bad. i know a lot of guys that use all the clubs youve mentioned and they are all good golfers. just use what your comfortable with and forget about what anyone else says. thats why they make more then one kind of golf club lol!

Well, from out of no where a set of MP 52s fell into my lap so I had to get them. I wanted them all along but figured I would look more toward the cheaper 57s or 32s (at the time I couldn't find a good deal on them either) so I went with the Nike's. Sweet looking club, but I just haven't hit them like I did when I demoed the 52s. So I am now Mizuno man, and look forward to them coming next week. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and responses. I got lucky and stumbled across a good deal.

haha, yeah that is what I hear. They are a club I will have confidence in, and for a 20 handicap, that is important.

Thats just like how I ended up with my MP-32s. I had a set of Titleist DCI 981s and was fairly happy with them, but always wanted a set of forged Mizunos and I came across a deal on these 32s on Golfsmith (got them for $250). I wasnt at all looking to buy a different set of irons, but it was a deal that I couldnt pass up.

Life is funny like that sometimes.
