I have the Casio EX and really like it. Never used the Kodak..

I want the Canon EOS Rebel T2 so bad for my trip to Chichen Itza next month.....this is the ultimate SLR for a guy like me.

What I like about the Kodak is that it allows you to play one frame at a time on the camera. You can make adjustments at the range as you go. I also find 60 fps to be enough,

Just received the Casio Exilim EX-FC100. Seen my swing in 210 pictures per second it unbelievable. Not that it is that good, but you get every position clear and smooth. I can check impact in unknown detail - hands, ball contact, strenuous facial expression, ...

Nice. Bought it, because it has better glas/zoom compared to the FS10. And you can not complain about 175 $ ...

Bumping this up... I'm going to buy one of these this month, the wages finally cover it. Are the FS10 and the FC-100 good enough for the amateur photographer as I don't have a digital camera and need one. I've seen the videos of the FS10 in slowmo. Mind blowing stuff but is the FC-100 worth getting ahead of the FS10?

Managed to get a ZX1 on ebay for way below retail, so more than happy with that to record my swing on for now. The more expensive, slow cameras can be purchased at a later date.

All of the cameras listed are nice options. Just be sure you get a memory card that is class 6 or higher! The cheaper cards will skip frames and corrupt more often. Transcend makes great memory cards.

ZX1 might be OK for the start. 210 fps are really nice to analyze... Plus the FC-100 is OK to take with you and shot a few other pics. And it has nice features to play with...

Anyways, the ZX1 might do the job for you nicely. Always a good idea to head to flickr or youtube or dpreview and try to see how good a cam is.

I checked out loads on Youtube. This one summed up the ZX1 nicely for me...

Yes, thats nice - 60fps in HD. The FC-100 has "just" 480x360 at 210fps. But hey, I always deleted my videos after I did a few pict grabs of the key positions I was working on. No cam, no go!

Have fun and get better fast :D

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.

    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
