Today we had the Titleist demo day at our club and I tried basically all the clubs from the 909 series. The driver I hit was the 909 D2 with 10.5 degrees of loft. I tried it with both an Aldila Voodoo S-flex and an Matrix Ozik X-Con 6 R-flex. I was only able to hit the second combination using Trackman and I found that the spin rate and launch angle was pretty good. However, while Trackman was taken, he saw me hit a couple of driver with the Voodoo shaft (without that big of a difference) so he suggested I go with a S-flex Matrix to get the launch angle at about 11 degrees but a little less spin to increase accuracy.
When I hit the 909 F2 15.5 3wood, I tried a Diamana Blue 75 R-flex (only lefty club) and noticed the ball was launching very high. Again, he suggested I ordered the same shaft as the driver I hit.
Finally, I hit the 909H 19* with an Aldila Voodoo S-flex and the ball was flying with mid launch and a penetrating trajectory.
Now my question, since the Matrix X-Con 6 is not available for Titleist hybrids and I don't want to pay for an upgrade in shafts, do you suggest I go with the Aldila Voodo in a S-flex? Or should I go with the Diamana Blue (a little higher launch)?

for me when i hit the 909D3 and the Voodoo I was only at 9º launch angle - which is SUPER low
if you go w the Voodoo, I would say get the D2 or D comp and they are a higher launching head than the D3

depends which head you liked best though?

well i guess my question isn't very clear. what i meant is that i will go for the 909 D2 10.5 with the Matrix Ozik X-Con 6 and the 909 F2 15.5 with the same shaft. The question is: what shaft do you suggest for the Titleist 909 H 19 degree hybrid?

I think you'd be best with the Diamana b/c it'll land a bit softer and you shouldn't really need to worry about ballooning or any significant loss of distance. Just my 2 cents.

I would think the higher launching Diamana would be best in a hybrid...especially seeing as how the fitter suggested the higher launching Matrix over the Voodoo for your other

two. Good luck with your new sticks!!!!
