I have a line on some G10's used for $350. So I went to the golf store to talk to a guy I deal with there and he said while you are here let's fit you. He used the tape on the Ping's and the board and it came back that I am acceptable on the Orange dot but he thought the Brown would be better. They don't have a Brown dot to swing. Here is the problem with that I am 6'1" with a wrist to floor of 38.5. So what the hell is that all about. Is there anybody else out there that got fitted and it just didn't make sense?

Whoa now.

Check your numbers man, 6'1'' and a 38.5 wrist to floor is pretty freaky anthropometry. If this is true, based on pings fitting PDF ( http://www.ping.com/uploadedFiles/Cu...Code_Chart.pdf ) you'd be +1/4" and 4.5 degrees upright... which is crazy balls. If he was fitting you for orange/brown color codes, that's the other end of the spectrum, very flat.

Could it have been 6'1'' and 28.5 wrist to floor?

I'm no club fitter, but I'd try and see someone else to verify. I cannot imagine a person with your stature properly hitting a club that is several degrees flat, unless you've got on heck of an strange move through the ball where you nearly fall over.

I mean, that is theoretically 7 degrees off of spec for your stats.
