shaft question

i recenty bought a new ft-3 fusion driver and i was wondering if i should put the same shaft in the fusion as i had in my old driver (cleveland launcher 330). i dont know if the same shaft would perform different with the larger clubhead.

Shafts perform differently in different clubheads. Not so much that you always have to switch, but if it was borderline before, it may. Particularly if you're switching from a bore-through to a non-bore-through, for example.

no doubt. I've done a lot of shaft experiments with my 510TP head and results were sometimes unexpected... i.e. - I liked the Pro Force V2 with the Titleist 905R. Once installed with 510TP head - I couldn't get it to work - the 'tip stiff' feature came out big time - all I could do was a weak fade / slice with it

If you have a easy access to clubmaker or you do it yourself - worth experimenting, but otherwise... be careful.

Shafts are one of those adjustments that if you could ever find a way to "try out" a bunch of different shafts on the same head we would all be amazed.

I have a dream...someday...when the world is better...we will be able to try out shafts like trying on clothes. You know...like the pros do now.
