Hi all,
I've been working on some things in my swing since the last time I posted (several weeks ago now) and I thought I'd post an update. I'd like to get some thoughts on my swing before I say what I've been working on, just to get an unbiased point of view.

From the looks of it, your swing looks much better (at least from this angle)! Looks like you've minimized the amount of "standing up" you do. Maybe get a DL shot so forumgoers can more accurately compare.

Expected a lefty (gauche).

Looks smooth especially in the followthrough. I like that followthrough. Release seems very good.
One-piece takeaway. Can't see your right elbow as you begin the downswing. Your downswing looks almost one piece as well, with hips acting the same time as legs and external obliques. Is this a fault? I don't know. Minimal lateral hip movement.

From the position of your hands at the top, this was a three-quarter swing, right? Yet your wrist cock took the club not far from parallel at the top, as though the wrist cock is more than usual for that length of swing. Is the clubhead square at impact? Guess the real test is: Are you getting good results? Would trade swings with you.

Very nice swing.

It seems a lot simpler now. Not a lot of movement - good turn through the ball and balance is spot on. Tempo is great as well.

I would like to see a driver swing.

In my bag:

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.

      Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
