Question for you experts, i currently use mizuno irons with no or very minimal offset and taylor made tour burner driver/woods that have a pretty noticeable offset. I find that it seems to affect my setup between irons and the woods aside from normal iron vs woods setup and noticed when i'm driving well, my iron play goes to crap and vice versa. I'm wondering if the fact that i'm mixing/matching clubs with offset and clubs without offset is screwing me up a bit, just creating more variables to consider at setup. Should i dump the woods with offset and go to woods with no offset? I did hit a ping driver with no offset at the store and seemed to pound it pretty good, but only into a little screen several feet in front of me so i have no idea how the ball flight would be, but contact wise i seemed to be making better contact.

Hope my question isn't too silly.

The offset shouldnt affect your set up much, in reality. But i understand how it can be confusing. Taylormade TP clubs have minmial offset, if i understand. Perhaps youre just closing the faces with your woods at address?
THE WEAPONS CACHE..

Titleist 909 D2 9.5 Degree Driver| Titleist 906f4 13.5 degree 3-Wood | Titleist 909 17 & 21 degree hybrid | Titleist AP2 irons
Titleist Vokey Wedges - 52 & 58 | Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Putter | ProV1 Ball

Hope my question isn't too silly.

The only thing that is silly is that in the subject line you mention that the irons are forged. This has as much relevance as grip colour.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I've hit the Tour Burner, and it only looks closed at adress. There's little or no offset though. I would say just set up and swing, and ignore the offset.

hahahaha sorry, i guess it came out in a clumsy way but was trying to convey no offset or very minimal in my irons
