So is this, titleist 975f fairway wood, any good? I have it from a long time ago and havent really used it much because it has a regular flex shaft? Its 14.5 degrees, but is this thing worth putting a stiff shaft on and using or should I look into another fairway wood?

definitely worth it, tough to pick up a quality three wood these days for a decent price. the 975f is a great club, 100% worth reshafting.

It depends on what kind of shaft you are looking at, but there are other considerations.

If you like the way the club looks when you set up to the ball, have confidence in it and can get it in the air, then I would consider reshafting.

From an economic standpoint, if you are reshafting with steel, it is probably cheaper, but if you are looking at some of the better graphite shafts, then you might pick up a nice newer club from the used bin at Golfsmith(or others) that meets your specs for less than reshafting.

I may sound like I am talking in circles, but the point is it is not a purely economic decision. Either way, you should be able to get where you want to be for less than $100. Go with what gives you the most confidence over the ball.
