Ok if this is all it takes i am going to go back in time and kill the creator of golf. Honestly, this game is so fickle its insane.

Starting sunday, i shot a 96, it was bad. I took a few 8's 9's 7's, so on, worst round of golf i played in 5 years. So i have a league night tonight, i got out and shoot 42 for 9 holes, not to bad. But i thought it was going to be hell again. Going double, triple on the first two holes. my ball wouldn't go anywere off the ground, i couldn't feel the club at all in the backswing, just aweful. So on the 12th hole i thought, i wonder if its my right hand. So i move my thumb position in my grip to more overtop the club, it was off to the left of the club. And heavens opened up and i could feel the club in my hands. the next 7 holes i go 1 over par. Given its not perfect, i still have an issue with not allowing the club to naturally release through the shot, i am holding off for a bit of a block cut. But the best drive of the year happened on 17, my 5 yard draw, pounded down the middle.

So here's to hoping that this was all it was, if so, then i will make sure that my grip doesn't change from now on.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Haha, I hear you.

I was recently told by one of the Pros at my local course that I was not keeping my weight on the inside of my right foot and the club head needed to open up a little more at parallel on my back swing. Not as 'simple' as moving your thumb, but reletively basic things I changed for my next shot. It was like night and day. I have so much confidence in my irons now. I gave my dad my hybrids and have been hitting my 3 and 4 irons. It's awesome. I hope your problem remains solved...along with mine : )
