Forecast calls for rain, so it's out with the Gore-Tex...

It's the annual NWCB tourney. My company always sends a few groups, and this time I'm playing with our COO, CFO and IT guy. They're cool people, but playing with the big wigs is always weird. Should be a fun and interesting day.

Unfortunately, it appears I'm the best player in the group, which isn't saying much. Hopefully my wedge game will be on and I can take advantage of the soft conditions. Nothing worse than finishing over par when playing best ball.

Yeah, good luck to you.

I'm playing in the annual family reunion scramble tomorrow with my wife's family. The course is always in great shape though, and it's usually a free round (father-in-law usually comes through for me).

I'm not a huge fan of four-man scrambles, but I guess golf is golf.

The round went pretty well, considering that two players in our group completely missed the ball on 1 swing out of 3 the entire round. :)

We finished at even par. Not great for a scramble, but fine given what we had to work with. I was able to hit some qualtiy shots when we had to have them, and even holed a 35 yard wedge for an eagle of the first hole!

Everyone had a great time, and I got to check out a course I otherwise wouldn't have played - so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

    • I've been putting whilst looking at the hole and it's definitely helped my distance control
    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
