without alignment sticks. I always knew I should practice with them, but I was too lazy to go out and get a set of sticks from Home Depot. Finally did it this past weekend, and DAMN, what a difference it really makes to not have to worry about your alignment. Plop 2 sticks down, make sure they are parallel, make sure your body is aligned to them, and bam, you have eliminated a whole host of potential issues relating to alignment. I will NEVER practice without them again, it is such an easy thing to do, pretty much a no brainer at this point

Do you guys use alignment sticks and find them to be helpful?

I just use a yard stick. But remember, you can't take them out on the course with you. It would help to figure out why you are out of alignment. That's something that I've really been trying to concentrate on in my preshot routine.

They're actually driveway markers, just mention them to any rep there and they'll know exactly what you're talking about. Orange sticks with white marking meant to be stuck in the ground so you know where the end of the driveway is is winter. Think they were around $2 a piece.

That's exactly what they're for, so I know where I was out of alignmnent! The way I look at it, the more I practice and engrain solid fundaments, i.e. proper alignment, the more likely I am to take those fundamentals out onto the course. That, and the fact that almost all of the pros at the PGA Champ last year were using them on the driving range

yeah, that's a great idea. But you can't take them on the course? Not in your bag?

You just can't lay them out on the tee box

Mizuno is introducing new technology with their JPX One fairway woods and drivers. The new tech for golf but used tech for Mizuno since it is found in their baseball side of the business, is Nanoalloy. Nanoalloy is a microscopic polymer layer put on the face of their titanium driver. What this layer does is change the elasticity of the driver face and increases ball speed over a larger area of the clubface. Adding a bit more elasticity with this layer, they are conserving the golf balls energy from the impact.  Due to USGA rules, this technology falls under their coating regulations. Which add a correction factor to the ball speed testing done for conforming golf clubs. This rule was introduced when Taylormade went to their carbon clubface. Which I didn't know existed.  I am sure that center strikes are at the USGA limits like all other drivers. This has my interest. I am always, "window shopping", for new golf equipment 😉
