Getting back into golf

I am 24 years old and I am going to get back into golf. Currently I have two sets of older irons and I am looking for opinions. Both are pings, one set are the ping eyes and the others are ping eye two's. I am 6'6 and I am thinking I am going to need to get whatever Irons I end up swinging fitted.

Are these still good clubs to swing for an average golfer?
Would it be worth getting either set fitted?
Or would it be best to buy a used newer set of irons and geting fitted if I play on keeping them for a while?
What are some decently priced used irons that would be good for a starter?

Lots of people still play Eye 2's. As far as getting fitted goes, if you played those irons before and got your handicap down below scratch as you indicate, I don't think it's necessary.

You can never go wrong with fitted clubs though, so if you to buy new clubs, definitely get fitted

If's thats not your real handicap, you should probably change it. You might get different answer from people, because they will think you are really a better golfer than you really are.

most places do not charge you to get fitted if you buy the clubs there, but like everything, things vary from place to place

I thought the Ping eye 2's were on the banned list??? I thought you could only use the Ping eye 2+'s I may be 100%, but I remember listening to sombody talking about this.
