Grafalloy Axis Shaft = 1 arm & 1 leg

I am 100% for choosing the right shaft that fits your swing, and the benefits of launch monitor fittings have done nothing but help golfers everywhere. I also understand that you have to pay for technology as well.

But the new Grafalloy Axis shaft is going for $275. That's one shaft, for $275.

Is anyone here a big (or rich) enough gearhead to actually spring for a $275 shaft that you'll use 6-12 times per round? Just wondering...

$275 puts it inline with the Fujikura Speeder line. There is also the Matrix Ozik TP7/TP7X that has a suggested retail price of $1200.

I'm a technology *****.....and a dealer for many of these shaft lines. I personally have and love the Matrix Code 6 that I have in my driver ($350 MSRP) - I can say legitimately that this shaft helped my driiving so for me it is worth it. Now I've got other drivers and fairway woods with shaft priced at $30 and up and they also all work for me. Like you've already found out, FITTING IS KEY.

But I will not use high cost equipment just because I can, it's very important to me that equipment fit me. When I ordered my FT3 it came with the Diamana Blue shaft. It wasn't a good fit for me so I pulled it and installed the Ozik.

I personally believe in better technology and think the golf ball is a great example of how technology can really benefit players. Now I know and have met many more people who can drive, chip and putt with low cost equipment so yes many times it is the Indian and not the arrow.

There is another thread here talking about whether or not Scotty Cameron Putters are worth their price....yes there can be a big difference in materials and quality of the product but after a certain point I personally believe that golfers in general will value a higher priced item more because they expect it to perform better..to justify the cost.

So here's my stance. To a point better products/technology will benefit a player but after a certain point it becomes a mental confidence like I mentioned above.

I Just Got that Shaft Fitted and its 1 of the best shafts around i love it so much i might get this of my clubs fitted with it!
