So you low handicappers, how the hell do you bring it all together mentally
Like, When i'm practicing, my tee shots are fine my irons are great my wedges are great my putting and chipping are all good now
But when i'm on the course i can't bring it together.... My tee shots are shitty then my irons are good
My long shots are good then my chipping/putting is bad
blahhhhhh

How do you bring it all together mentally?

1. Practice, especially 100 yards and in and you're putting. You and I will never hit the ball like the pro's. However, you can save alot of shot's where everyone is fairly equal in the ability to hit the ball 100 yards or less.
2. Practice putting, again, you can be equal to any pro on the dance floor. Learn to get it around the track with 30 putts or less. One putt greens cover up a myriad of sins.
3. Manage your bad shots. You hit one in a bad spot, why compound it by trying to hit a miraculous recovery. Take the best exit back to the fairway and make you bogey, you could get lucky and save par, but don't turn the bogey into a double or triple.
4. Play within your ability.
5. Have fun because golf is the greatest GAME ever invented. It was meant to be enjoyable and for it's true lovers of the game to have a good time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you make a bad shot, don't let it get you down, who really cares? If you keep that attitude it will help you a lot mentally

I'm hoping to be a better golfer, and this is my plan:

1. Work more on my short game. On Sunday, I took my three wedges and prepared a range card for quarter, half, 3/4 and full shots.
2. Play more rounds!!! If I don't play regularly, I tend to make more stupid shot-selection moves than if I get out for 18 six times a month. Early in the season, I waste 4-6 strokes a round by dumb shot selection.

Focus, connect and follow through!

I think i was just in a shitty mindset
I have a very bad mental game
i Went to mens night tonight and shot a 42 over 9 par 37 so i'm back to where i should be
I think i was trying to make up for bad shots and just getting into more truoble and not hitting into my money areas aka 100 yardsish
only needed 16 putts over the 9 holes too which i'm happy with for now
I was just pissed off yesterday i guess
