Getting the thread back on topic, one of the problems I have with accepting Cink as a major championship winner is that we didn't get to see him win it. As far as the broadcast was concerned, the tournament was between Watson and Westwood, and a third competitor who was just as much in the mix was regarded as an afterthought. The manufactured drama of the old guy coming back for one more win vs. the guy coming back from a promising career that tanked didn't have room for a third guy who had the same chance to win as those two, but who didn't have an emotional story for the broadcasters to sell. We saw every shot Watson and Westwood hit, but only a putt here and there from Cink.
